In Memoriam: Frederick Lee

The members of SEIU ULTCW are mourning the passing of our brother, Fred Lee.

Known for being upbeat with a positive outlook in any situation, Fred always answered the call when it came to supporting the goals and vision of our union.

Fred served as an Executive Board member of ULTCW and was a founding Member Organizer. Over the years, Fred helped organize nursing home members to ensure that they had a voice on the job, and was a dedicated champion for working families and a strong economy through his work with the Good Jobs LA campaign. An active leader in our political efforts, Fred led teams of ULTCW members in our work to elect Governor Jerry Brown, LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, and other candidates who share our values.

Fred will be greatly missed, but his contributions to our union family will forever live on.

We send our love and condolences to Fred’s family during this difficult time.

Funeral services for Mr. Lee were held on  Saturday, October 13th at 4:30 pm at the Harrison-Ross Mortuary.
